From Wednesday, November 17 to Friday, Novemder 2021, the 116th Annual General Meeting of the Schiffbautechnische Gesellschaft e.V. will take place.

This year's Annual General Meeting will be held in beautiful Kiel. The venue is the Maritim Hotel Bellevue on the Kieler Förde where a total of 32 lectures will be offered.

From Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9, 2022 the world's leading trade fair for the maritime industry, the annual SMM, will again be held in Hamburg.

Steinbach Ingenieurtechnik will also take part in the SMM again and we would be very pleased to welcome you at the joined stand of WT.SH (Wirtschaftsförderung und Technologietransfer Schleswig-Holsten GmbH).

Recently, SI Technik has started its co-opera­tion with Wavefoil AS - a young and innovative Norwegian company.

Wavefoil delivers retractable bow foils that reduce fuel consumption and ship motions in waves. Fuel savings for suitable vessels are in the range of 5 to 15 %. Ship movements are reduced by 10 to 20 %, and up to 30 % for high-speed vessels.

Combining a smart retraction mechanism with the use of light but strong composite materials, Wavefoil is bringing wave propulsion to the market.

New name for MMC Green Technology

On 3 June 2019, a stock exchange statement was issued stating that, in connection with the sale of MMC First Process AS, Havyard Group would buy the company’s 77.28% majority interest in MMC Green Technology AS. In connection with this, an agreement was made to change the company’s name.

The new name is Norwegian Greentech AS. Norwegian Greentech AS is now an independent company in the Havyard Group, and will continue to develop innovative ballast water treatment system for shipping companies and shipyards worldwide.
